FAQs
OYC is located on the grounds of the International Marina in Oswego, NY. Upon entering the Harbor bear to the right and you will see a white building with a blue roof. That’s OYC. The OYC dock is at the south end of the marina running east-west.
Water depth is good. There is 10 to 20 feet of water throughout the marina. One small weedy patch will sometimes show less depth because of the weeds, but there is plenty of water. Because the pier was once a commercial pier the water is deepest alongside the pier. About 75 feet south of the OYC Dock, about 40 feet off shore there are several rocks (sometimes known as Tigger rock) that lie just below the surface. They are easy to avoid.
We’ll get back to you on that. The LYRA Organizing Committee is working on a docking plan.
Slips will be available at the International Marina and Wright’s Landing. Contact Jeanne Cooper at 315.342.8186 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to reserve a slip. Slips may also be available at the Oswego Marina, 315-343-1967.

There are two options. OYC has a hoist that can launch boats up to the size of a J24, larger boats can be launched at the Oswego Marina. Oswego Marina is offering a special rate for launching/hauling and stepping/unstopping masts for LYRA participants. Please contact the marina at 315-343-1967 to make arrangements to be launched. Ramp launching is available at Wright’s Landing Marina adjacent to OYC.

St. Peter’s Outfitters provides limited boat repair services. They are located at the Oswego Marina on the east side of the river. Unfortunately, there are no riggers in Oswego. We are working with sailmakers to offer a sail repair service.
Paul’s Big M Market is about a mile from the marina. The Big M is a small grocery store where you can replenish most of your food stores. Tops is located on the east side of the city and is a large supermarket. Andrew’s Wine Cellar in the Canalview Commons downtown has a good selection of wine and spirits (check out the rum selections). The Byrne Dairy store on West Bridge St has a good selection of beer.
